Audi e-tron keeping its position in Norway, most sold car also in April published the sales numbers for passenger cars in Norway for April. The total number of cars sold was 7 425, and of this 3 670 (49,4 %) were pure electric cars (BEV).

The total sales were down 40 % from last month, but the BEVs keep its position with a market share of around 50 %.

Audi e-tron was the most sold car in Norway in January, February, March and April 2020

  1. Audi e-tron - 832 cars (all BEVs)

  2. Volkswagen Golf - 517 cars (mostly BEVs)

  3. Nissan Leaf - 349 cars (all BEVs)

  4. Hyundai Kona - 257 cars (all BEVs)

  5. BMW i3 - 234 (all BEVs)

As you can see of the top 5 list there is more or less only pure electric models. (There is some inconsistency in my numbers further down on my list, therefore I stop with the top five. I will update this when I'm sure I have the right numbers for the rest of the list)

1 497 plug-in hybrids were sold in April. 20.2 % market share.

69.6 % of the cars sold in Norway in April 2020 can be charged with renewable energy.
